![]() ![]() Lower Gwynedd Township will no longer accept or process payments. In the event of a shut-off, the delinquent property owner shall also be charged all costs and expenses incurred by the Township to effectuate the shut-off. Residential property owners with delinquent balances are subject to the imposition of lien, civil court or water shut-off pursuant to agreement between Lower Gwynedd Township and the servicing water authorities. In addition, interest of 2.5% is added to the balance 120 days from the due date. Rents paid after the due date are subject to a 10% penalty. The BCWSA will mail residential sewer rental bills during the months of January, April, July and October (quarterly). That process is now provided by the Bucks County Water and Sewer Authority (BCWSA). In the past the Township has mailed sewer rental bills to residents and have collected the required rental fees. Over 3,300 owners of Township properties which are connected to the public sewer system are required to pay a quarterly service charge (or rent) to Lower Gwynedd Township. On January 1st, 2018 the Bucks County Water and Sewer Authority took over the sewer billing process for the Township. ATTENTION: SEWER BILLING CHANGE: JANUARY 1ST, 2018 The standard residential metered sewer rate is $88.00 for the first 12,000 gallons and $5.80 for each 1,000 gallons thereafter.Īlso, for any well customers the rate is $139.48 per quarter. Through an agreement with Ambler Borough, the Township's wastewater is treated at the Ambler Wastewater Treatment Plant. Lower Gwynedd Township handles the construction of sewer lines in the Township and contracts with Bucks County Water and Sewer for mainteance of the pump stations. ![]() The Township maintains approximately 100 miles of sewer lines, two pump stations and five metering stations.
